Ingredients:
2 cups canola oil
2 tablespoons garlic
2 tablespoons ginger
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 cups Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce
1 teaspoon honey
2 tablespoons butter
6 oz. spinach
1 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup cajun seasoning
8 oz. ahi tuna
6 oz. rice, cooked
1 teaspoon green onions

Preparation:
Make the sweet chili sauce. In a pan, add the oil, 1 tablespoon of the garlic and all of the ginger, lime juice, Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce and honey. Mix well over low heat. The sauce does not need to be cooked but will be better if served warm.

In a warm sauté pan melt the butter over medium heat. Add the remaining garlic and let cook for 15 seconds, then add the spinach. Sauté the spinach lightly until wilted, stirring. Add salt and pepper.

Mix the canola oil with the cajun seasoning. Add the ahi tuna and cover with the mixture. Let it sit for a minute, then sear in a hot pan to desired temperature.

Pack the rice onto the plate and top with sweet chili sauce and sautéed spinach. Place the seared tuna on top of the rice and top with shaved green onions.

Kona Grill was a disapppointment. The chicken satay was served RAW! They forgot the 2 dipping sauces for my appy. Took 10 minutes to get a fork to eat with - AFTER my food was served. It is over-priced - dont go. Its not worth your time or money! Happy hour specials dont apply to the main dining area and they dont have seating ample in the happy hour approved area….its a joke! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR RISK GETTING SICK ON RAW CHICKEN!!!!
